Gillingham
Gillingham is a non-metropolitan district situated in the county of Kent. Its name is from old the English which means "homestead of Gylla's family". The G in Gillingham is pronounced as J as in Jill. It has one of the warmest oceanic climate in England. The town's economy was previously supported mainly by jobs at the Chatham Dockyard. Many of its people was out of job when the dockyard closed in 1984.
